Swindon Borough Council Tenancy Agreement

We do not allow the subletting of your property and you may lose your rental, except in exceptional cases. As a safe tenant, you can only be distributed if you violate the terms of your rental. As a safe tenant, your rights belong to your rights. It is your responsibility to pay the rent in advance according to your rental conditions. If you have a joint rental agreement, both parties are equally liable. The rules for raising animals and pets depend on the type of property you live in and the lease you signed when you moved in. If two or more names appear on the rental card, you have a common rental agreement. Each person (co-tenant) is responsible for paying the rent and complying with the terms of the rental agreement. Council may take action against one or both tenants if the property is damaged, if unauthorized modifications have been made to your home, or if anti-social behaviour occurs. We may change the terms of your rental (for example. B by increasing your rent), but we must inform you of any changes. You have the right to accommodate sub-tenants or sublet part of your home, as long as you comply with the terms of your lease and obtain our prior written consent.

Please note that in some accommodations, such as protected accommodations. B, all tenants must meet our award criteria (e.g.B. over 60 years of age or disabled). Our goal is to offer quality homes, well maintained and meeting the needs of our tenants. Services are sometimes vulnerable to accidental outages and from time to time things go wrong….
