“Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” – All world is one family

The fifth Annual Basket Brigade to donate Thanksgiving meals went international this year. At InfoTrust, we would never miss an opportunity to express how thankful we are and to give back to the society in small ways bringing smiles to those who need it the most.

This year, we set out to spread some Diwali cheer to 30 families from an impoverished region in India. Diwali is an Indian festival celebrating the victory of good. The InfoTrust team learnt the struggles of these families and decided to help them sustain the cold winter by donating blankets and food essentials like pulses, rice and flour to last a few days.

We are humbled to explore the resilience and strength of the people who work hard to provide for their families with very limited resources. They live in shacks by the side of road that barely provide them shelter with their families. The InfoTrust team is grateful to these families of Agra, India for letting us into their homes, extending their hospitality, inspiring us with stories of their determination, hard work and resolve to achieve and also for allowing us to present a small token of our gratitude.

We can never be more thankful to our communities as we strive to extend our social responsibilities spreading joy this festive season. A shout out to the InfoTrust team for providing 30 bags of flour, pulses and rice each serving 30 families and giving away 30 blankets.

The Basket Brigade program’s international outreach brings a renewed perspective and appreciation to the Indian mantra of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ – all the world is one family. We wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving and a happy Diwali.
